I designed this board for my friends at Bear Surfboards about 5 or so years ago.
I’ve been riding this style of board for at least 10 years or more, very fast and loose and now becoming very
mainstream with the likes of my friend Dave Rastavich riding one frequently.
The design though is all due to Californian, Steve Liss and the boards since their origin in the mid 1970’s have
only now just really started to take off. I rode this particular board on the Nth coast of NSW for my friend Cyrus
Sutton’s new film titled “Under The Sun” (2007 ), getting some incredible waves and in the tube these boards
have extreme hold and power and maneuverability. Bottom shape incorporates flat although slightly rolled V,
with 2 wooden keel fins.
